Welcome to the first VITG monthly update for 2021, where you can expect to hear from us on product announcements, company updates, market discussions and plenty more from the team.

To say the past 12 months has been unprecedented and challenging for many organisations, is an understatement. You’ve heard it over and over, the hurdles faced in 2020 have been unlike any other. Ultimately we have seen shifts in how we work, how we communicate and how we play. The world as we knew it changed, and technology played a big role in that change.

We saw demand for products and services that were not expected to evolve into our business for years to come. We saw some industries flourish and we saw others sadly struggle. The effects continue. Business owners were forced to adjust to market shifts and still operate; whilst ensuring to keep our people safe.

VITG is no exception. We have had to adjust to new ways of working, whilst ensuring we continue to provide 24/7 support to our customers. We have had to fast track some of our customers digitalisation strategies, building out unified communications capabilities, bolstering connectivity requirements and ensuring robust security solutions are in place to support a decentralised workforce.

We have also used this impetus to grow as a business, acquiring Combo IT (Victoria) and North Sydney IT (NSW). Our vendor alliances have flourished with Telstra, Microsoft, Cisco and our many other valued partners, and we launched our EPIIC business values – Excellence, Passion, Innovation, Integrity, Collaboration.

On a personal note I was honoured to be appointed to Telstra’s Cyber Security and Channel Advisory Boards, whilst our MD Christian Pacheco was awarded Australian Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Technology – for the 2nd year running! These are accolades that would not be achieved without the support of our staff and executive team.

Another highlight is our partnership with Patonga Projects – a 100% Aboriginal Owned and Supply Nation Certified organisation offering a range of ICT consultancy, delivery and recruitment services. A key driver behind this partnership is not only an alignment of values, but an intent to enable and empower Indigenous communities around Australia through the delivery of programs that allow corporate, Government and NFP organisations to deliver on their Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP) and Reconciliation Action Program (RAP) targets.

2020 is a year we won’t forget, but for now, we’re focused on delivering a prosperous and rewarding 2021 to both our customers and our people, and I’m delighted for you to join us on the journey.
