How Aitken College Worked with VITG to Upgrade Their IT Infrastructure

Aitken College is an independent, P-12, co-education school located in Greenvale. The school has been operating for over 25 years, currently supporting 1,450 students and over 200 team members.

“We are a long-time client; VITG is kicking goals, and for us, working with VITG is a sound investment.”

Technical Operations Manager

The Challenge

For Aitken, ensuring they have up-to-date technology that can deliver modern teaching outcomes is essential.

The driver for this project was to ensure Aitken has the best technology in place to support its students and teachers.

The Solution

Aitken engaged with VITG’s IT Project team to replace their networking equipment, server infrastructure, and wireless setup.

The school is situated on a large site (18+ hectares) with many medium and small buildings. This project has ensured that Wi-Fi is accessible across the entire site, including inside the school’s farmhouse.

“The new setup has worked seamlessly from the get-go,” says Pedersen.

The Results

“We have current, up-to-date technology that will support us in delivering the best educational experience to our students and a productive working environment for our team.

Historically, we had a disconnect between IT and the wider team; people were hesitant to go to IT for help. Since having VITG onboard, everyone loves talking to IT. No matter how big or small the issue, having VITG onsite has made a big difference to IT support service levels.

VITG has been running projects for Aitken for a long time. Their project team is awesome; they do what they say they will do and keep things running on track.

Our school is operational 365 days a year, and VITG is with us for every one of those days, no matter what happens,” says Pedersen.
